Codes and Conventions

When looking into the codes and conventions of a magazine, I found that most magazines follow the same layout even if it is a music magazine they will follow the same layout to a fashion magazine.
I looked on google to find out what the codes were called. I then annotated a VOGUE issue to these codes and conventions. I wrote about what I understood about VOGUE's codes and convention.
When creating my own magazine I will use these to create my own magazine front page. I felt inspired by looking into other magazine front covers, as I feel as though they all intrigue a reader to buy their magazines because they include interesting content inside. As well I got the inspiration for my picture I will include on my front page. I looked on Pinterest for different image styles for my front page.

When I looked into the pages inside a magazine, they were all different. Although I found that there has to be a contents page included in all magazines. I gained inspiration for my content page by looking inside different magazines I own. When creating the pages inside the magazine there are many aspects of of the layout. I have to take note of whereabouts the margins will be so I can add my content inside the rest of the page. When writing my article I will include columns of writing and text breakers, this is so the reader doesn't get overwhelmed by the amount of writing included. I will make my headlines stand out so the reader becomes interested in the pages, including crossheads and cut-outs to make my magazine look different from other pages in my magazine. As well, I need to take into consideration of the spread of the pages, a magazine has two sides and two facing pages. I will have to make sure that what I am putting my magazine together that they are structured properly. I will include accurate page numbers into my magazine, I will work this out before printing out each page.
